Linda Yaccarino spent 15 years at Turner Entertainment and 11.5 years at NBCUniversal before her surprise appointment as Twitter’s (now X) new CEO. As she continues to build her team, she just announced four hires of executives she had worked with at Turner or NBCUniversal, bringing more Hollywood experience to the tech company headed by Elon Musk.
Brett Weitz, former General Manager Of TNT, TBS & truTV, has been named Head of Content, Talent and Brand Sales. Fellow Turner alum Monique Pintarelli has joined as Head of the Americas, overseeing Sales and Partnerships across the U.S., Canada and Latin America. NBCU’s Carrie Stimmel will serve as Global Agency Leader, and fellow NBCU exec Rob Hayes as Lead for Revenue Operations.

Weitz left in the major post-merger Warner Bros. Discovery restructuring in May 2022 after 14 years at Turner. As General Manager Of TNT, TBS, & truTV, position he was named to in 2019, he managed all three nets, helping TNT and TBS to maintain their positions as as the #1 and #2 networks in prime among all cable entertainment networks and truTV among the youngest and most affluent.
In his previous role as EVP Programming for TBS, Weitz was integral in revitalizing the network’s comedy brand with The Last O.G. as well as late-night’s Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. Weitz previously served as SVP Scripted Development for TBS and TNT, where he developed a range of hit series including The Last Ship, Rizzoli & Isles and Dallas.
Weitz also developed defined brand lanes for the three TNets – TBS’ always here for a good time, TNT’s always here for a thrill ride and truTV’s always here for a good laugh — which collectively delivered six of the top 10 comedies, two of the top dramas and eight of the top 10 performing movies each year. Additionally, Weitz championed the MORE initiative, a multifaceted campaign highlighting content that celebrates all cultures and showcases diverse stories and voices.
Pintarelli, most recently President, North America, at global media platform Teads who also served as VP, Sales at Viant Technology started her career at Turner Broadcasting, where she spent 15 years in various roles across TV, Digital & Performance Marketing.
Stimmel most recently served as chief growth officer, Olympics & Paralympics at NBCUniversal’s Advertising & Partnerships unit. Before that, she was EVP, advertising and partnerships at NBCU. Prior to joining NBC, Stimmel did stints as VP, network sales at Univision and VP sales at Nickelodeon.
Rob Hayes, most recently Chief Business Officer, New Ventures, at Dow Jones, served as EVP, Peacock and NBC Entertainment and before that as EVP Digital, NBC Entertainment, responsible for the operations and P&L for NBC Entertainment’s digital initiatives including broadband, mobile and VOD. Prior to NBC, Hayes was the COO of Iconic which launched JayZ’s YouTube Channels; “Life & Times”, and “Uno, Dos, Tres”. Earlier in his career, Hayes was at Showtime Networks where he oversaw all things digital.
