GTA fans rush to grab three games from the world-famous series – landing completely free on a popular platform | The Sun

NETFLIX is quickly becoming a big player in the games industry, having released dozens of games available to subscribers at no extra cost.

The streaming service has amassed a wide range of high quality games on its mobile games platform, like the recently announced Hades, and all games on Netflix are free of ads and microtransactions.

Now, Netflix has announced that it’s bringing one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world to its gaming service, with a collection of three Grand Theft Auto games set to be released in two weeks.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is an enhanced remaster of three classic and beloved GTA games, which previously came to other platforms earlier in the year.

The collection includes GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, all of which were originally released on the PS2 in the early 2000s.

The Definitive Edition of these GTA games includes higher quality models and textures, improved controls, and more enhancements across the board.

All three games will be playable with both touch controls and with paired bluetooth controllers on both Android and iOS, and Netflix no doubt wants to boost its gaming subscriber numbers, as less than 1% of users use the gaming feature.

Players interested in playing the games in the leadup to Grand Theft Auto 6 will be able to download each game separately from either the Play Store or the iOS App Store starting from December 14.

Preorders for the games are available now on both platforms, and will allow players to download the games as soon as they become available on the 14th.

It comes as players are hotly anticipating more news about GTA 6, the next major game in the series set to be released on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.

Rumours have been swirling about the game for months, and developer Rockstar announced that a GTA 6 trailer would drop before the end of 2023.

It’s not all been sunshine and rainbows though, as the GTA 6 boss angered fans with wild comments earlier this month, suggesting that players should be paying even more for games.

A release date has not been announced for GTA 6 yet, but it’s expected to be revealed in the coming days as part of the 25th anniversary for Grand Theft Auto.
