Alison Hammond, 47, is known for her charismatic presenting style and down-to-earth character, both of which have helped her rise to fame as a national figure. The presenting star is now best-known for hosting a regular slot on This Morning, where she often speaks candidly about her life in Birmingham as a single mother. Having stayed close to home in the famous West Midlands city, Alison lives a comfortable life with her son in a newly renovated suburban property. Here’s a look inside.

Where does Alison Hammond live?

The former Big Brother star lives a short distance from Birmingham city centre with her 17-year-old son, Aiden.

Their modern home is thought to be located in Hall Green, around six miles southeast of the heart of the cultural city.

According to estate agent Martin & Co, the suburban spot is a “great location” for families, offering a good mix of peaceful suburban life, and a taste of the busy “hustle and bustle” Birmingham is known for.

As a regular on social media, Alison often shares a glimpse of her home life with her 1.1million Instagram followers and 936,900 TikTok fans.

Earlier this year, Alison revealed her new kitchen in a quick video which showed before and after shots.

The video, captioned “kitchen makeover, just love it”, showed an empty wall that had been transformed into a customised storage unit.

To fit the simple yet stylish interior of the rest of her home, Alison opted for off-white coloured cabinets decorated with chic glass door knobs on the cupboards and drawers.

The rest of the room featured a bright modern ceiling light, beige walls, cream tiled flooring, and studded turquoise dining chairs.

In another transformation video, the TV star unveiled a brand new path way running through her landscaped garden.

At the back of her detached, brick property, Alison enjoys a large outdoor space which is separated into four main segments.

A hot tub, shed area, dining area and seating space fill each corner of the turfed garden, which has a modern stone path running in a T-shape through the middle.

The lavish space is enjoyed by Hammond’s son too, with the close pair often spotted making TikTok videos together outdoors.

Inside, the ITV presenter has plenty of space to relax outside of work, with the whole house set across three floors.

The kitchen is modern and inviting, while the lounge features a plush velvet sofa in charcoal grey.

Decorated with a zebra print cushion and statement yellow furniture, the room makes for the perfect space to relax after a day on-screen.

The “ultra-modern” home features neutral tones and plenty of ornaments including family photographs and of course, trophies including Alison’s TRIC award.

While the Bafta-award-winning presenter has worked hard for her comfortable life near her hometown, Hammond often expresses how grateful she is to be able to live in such a lovely home with her son.

Though Alison’s detached property is thought to be worth much more than the average home in the area, the region is fairly affordable in terms of house prices.

According to Rightmove, properties in Hall Green had an overall average price of £262,563 over the last year, with semi-detached properties in the area sold for an average price of £296,034.

Despite now living in the southern part of the city, Alison was born further north.

The broadcaster was raised by her Jamaican parents in Kingstanding, located in the Erdington council constituency.

Speaking to Birmingham Living, the devoted mother revealed that she still lives close to her own mum, noting that she is “just around the corner”.

Alison added that when she’s not travelling the UK or the wider world for her work, she enjoys doing “dead ordinary things” like spending quality time with her son.
