PlayStation gamers are furious about a number big changes that will leave players out of pocket | The Sun

THE gaming industry has seen a number of changes lately that have raised prices across the board.

It has had a huge impact on gamers, as people are now looking to deals and giveaways to pick up new games.

The most recent announcement is that PS Plus will be increasing the yearly prices of all its plans, severely raising the cost.

Not only this, but the latest free games with PS Plus Essential this month are an incredibly poor showing.

The three games include the new Saints Row which was a huge disappointment at launch, alongside Black Desert and Generation Zero which have both been critically panned.

PlayStation announced the price for its upcoming new console, the PlayStation Portal, at Gamescom 2023.

PlayStation 6 finally has a release date – and it’s not what we’re expecting

While it was confirmed that the handheld would allow players to enjoy games in the same way they can with Remote Play, the price left something to be desired.

Priced at £199 (£199), it’s £100 more than other Remote Play devices like the Backbone One that are currently on the market.

PlayStation isn’t the only one raising prices. Xbox has employed similar tactics after the last few months.

Not only has the price of Xbox Game Pass increased, but free Games with Gold have also been removed from the lowest tier.

Adding to this is the rising trend of full price games offering ‘early access’ periods, where gamers have to pay more to gain access to big games with everyone else.

A recent example is Starfield, where £70 ($70) would give you access from September 6, but £100 ($100) let players access the game from September 1.

Gaming was already an expensive hobby and recent trends have people more worried than ever before.
