‘Selfish’ driver has car plastered with furious notes after 'idiotic' parking in front of house – but did he deserve it? | The Sun

A "SELFISH" motorist had their car plastered with angry notes after sparking fury from a homeowner for their "idiotic parking".

The parking blunder left the driver's car covered in furious letters and duct tape when they blocked a skip due for collection.

The angry notes were all hilariously titled: "SELFISH IDIOTIC PARKING!!!"

The homeowner raged: "Parking right next to a bulging skip that's due to be collected today has cost me a lot of time and money!"

Claiming that the driver had left their car in front of the full skip since 8am, the furious Brit said their home had been blocked on the worst possible day.

They continued: "I have spent hours knocking on every house and asking in the shop about the owner.

"It's now 2pm and its still blocking the skip!

"I will now have to pay extra charges because of your selfish stupidity!!"

The state of the car was shared on Twitter, with many seeing the funny side as Britain's baking summer heatwave was blamed as the poster said "the sun is getting to people".

But users were split on whether the homeowner was right in taking the extreme measure to get their point across.

One took the motorists side, commenting: "If that tape peeled the clear coat off my car I'd be raging!"

"How was he supposed to know a bulging slip was due for collection? I’d leave my car there for weeks on end," said another.

But not everyone took their side, with some thinking the driver should have known better than to park there in the first place.

One person suggested the furious homeowner opts for a "Land Rover rope drag away."

"Why would you park in front of someone’s driveway anyway?" questioned another.

A third said: "It’s still a bad move though isn’t it."

But many simply felt the situation could have been easily avoided altogether.

A forward thinking user recommended: "If you know it’s due for collection, then put cones out or block people from parking in said place".
