TikToker washing hack on how to remove fruit flies
Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, an anonymous member wrote: “I’ve got fruit flies but there’s no fruit around. Any idea on how to remove them on a budget?”

“If you don’t have any apple cider vinegar, maybe cut an apple into small pieces with water and cling film.”
Linday Aziz said: “A plastic bottle also does the same thing, cut it in half and fill it up, simple but effective.”
Ali Boyce wrote: “I took the lid off apple cider vinegar the other day and I caught loads in there. I hate the pesky things.”
The sweet scent will attract the flies to the bowl, while the washing-up liquid will ensure they remain trapped.
