Xbox is giving away five newly released games for free – including one of year’s biggest open worlds | The Sun

ACCOMPANYING one of the biggest releases of the year, Xbox is giving players a chance to dive in for free.

People have been waiting patiently all year to play Bethesda’s latest game, and now they can finally get their hands on it.

Whether you subscribe to Game Pass for Console, Game Pass for PC or Game Pass Ultimate, Starfield is now available on all platforms. 

Starfield is Xbox’s biggest release of the year, and is the next big open-world from the developers of Skyrim.

People have been able to explore Starfield since early access began on September 1.

However, if you have been looking to save money, you can join in the fun with Game Pass when the game fully launches on September 6.

There are five other games being added to the service this month, including four big day one releases.

Following Starfield, there is Lies of P, a unique soulslike, where you play as Pinocchio finding his way through a dystopian future.

Lies of P has a unique lying system where the truths and lies you tell throughout the game lead you to different endings.

Next up is Party Animals, a Fall Guys-style party game using wacky floppy characters.

This is an Xbox-exclusive title, and great to play with your family or at parties with friends.

Payday 3 isn’t console exclusive like Party Animals or Starfield, but people have been eager to play this long-awaited sequel available on Game Pass on release day.

Finally, Cocoon is coming to Game Pass, which is the latest game from the developer behind indie hits Limbo, and Inside.
