A MERCEDES driver has been blasted after brazenly driving onto a packed beach – infuriating locals.<\/p>\n

The clueless tourist parked the white Mercedes on Towan beach in Newquay, Cornwall yesterday.<\/p>\n

Snaps show children playing in the sand next to the beached estate car.<\/p>\n

A passenger in the car appears to cover their face while its owner talks to them.<\/p>\n

Local Kevin Harmer said: "People were shocked. The car drove onto the beach – and the lifeguard announced no driving on the beach.<\/p>\n

"The lifeguard went and spoke to him, he turned around and drove away with no problems.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe beach was very busy, we just get used to it- just another day at the office.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, local chef Conor Duffy saw three cars stranded on the Cornish beach – saying \u201cidiot summer\u201d has begun.<\/p>\n

Conor, 33, said: "They all drove down together, didn\u2019t look like they knew each other as they were all separate cars,<\/p>\n

"They then had to get two RNLI trucks to leave their life guarding posts to come and sort them out.<\/p>\n

"They had to be pulled out by locals as no tractors could be called in.<\/p>\n

"Then they had to clear the ramp as they each took turns at speeding up the beach and onto the ramp without getting stuck again.<\/p>\n

"Lifeguards tried to sort it as quickly as possible and did so – just shows common sense isn\u2019t really that common.<\/p>\n

"Happens at least once a week now due to tourists not reading the signs and thinking that they are fine to do so."<\/p>\n
